When I helped my FIL grow for market and local restaurants, ‘Celebrity’ was the ONLY tomato he would grow. It never cracks, tastes delicious, has great disease resistance and was always a reliable producer no matter what the weather threw at us. And it LOOKS like, ‘The Perfect Tomato.’
You can’t go wrong with that tomato variety, IMHO.
Celebrity, official tomato mascot of the 2021 Gardening Threads! (Hold a vote?)
Nematode and disease resistance are excellent qualities.
This year I planted 2 each of Carbon, Trifle, Pineapple, Stupice. Carbon is new this year. I will plant a couple of 10 fingers of Naples and Pincipe Borghese (determinate Italian w little tomatoes.)
