We learned that lesson years ago with a lemonade stand. The boys couldn’t “sell” lemonade, but they could give it away and ask for a donation to the “XXXX and XXXX PS4 Ownership Fund.”
They raised more than enough “donations” to purchase the PS4 and a couple of games.
Kids will always be much smarter than the govt.
We used to do that at our church in the beforetimes. There’s paperwork involved in holding a “fundraiser” and “selling” something, but giving away cookies and saying, “If you would like to donate to the youth group, there’s a basket on the table,” was okay.
Great idea. If you say its a donation then people will give you more money. Thats how good people can be.
