Colorado prosecutors have filed over 40 more felony charges against the man charged with killing 10 people at a Boulder King Soopers last month — including allegations he used a large capacity magazine that had been banned by state lawmakers in 2013 in response to mass shootings.
The court document outlining the new charges also lists 19 new victims — including 11 law enforcement officers — that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, is accused of trying to kill during the attack.

Did he shoot without wearing a mask properly? Or maintaining proper social distancing?
Maybe they could charge him for that too.

Should have used Reader’s Digest instead of Life magazine.

Maybe they should outlaw going on a rampage and killing people

It was probably an issue of Charlie Hebdo. President Obama thought that magazine was responsible for people being killed.

IIRC, this muslim guy had recently purchased the rifle. I’m guessing he also recently bought the mags as well. Still a stupid law.

Imagine the carnage if he’d have used a large book, or a gun. Some reference books could be used as a bludgeon. Magazines have to be rolled up to have any real effect.

Like “Mad”? Or “Life”?
I thought those went out of circulation.

Why don’t they just make a law against murder?
Problem solved!

That practice of overcharging makes prosecutors look like mental cases. And one should not forget that our tax money pays for those legal scut workers to burn the midnight oil.
Ten counts of murder, a judicial review of the case, then the noose. Shouldn’t take more than a month at most.
