Colorado prosecutors have filed over 40 more felony charges against the man charged with killing 10 people at a Boulder King Soopers last month — including allegations he used a large capacity magazine that had been banned by state lawmakers in 2013 in response to mass shootings.
The court document outlining the new charges also lists 19 new victims — including 11 law enforcement officers — that Ahmad Al Aliwi Alissa, 21, is accused of trying to kill during the attack.

Didn't he know those magazines were outlawed in Colorado?
Now he's really in trouble.

Imagine the carnage if he’d have used a large book, or a gun.
“How dare the mass murderer use large capacity magazines to carry-out his massacre.”
Holy crap! You mean criminals don’t obey the law?
This is an insult to everyone who died and their families. don't tell me they don't have the evidence to charge him with real crimes!
Like Saturday Evening Post, or Rolling Stone, or....
I remember older people telling me that they used Life magazines as shin pads for going out to play hockey, lol.
...or a knife
Aren’t most magazines digital now? May be he threw his phone.
Depends on when he bought it. If it was before the ban took effect it is not illegal. The ban was why Magpul left commierado and had a magazine airlift sale 5 mags per person.
Didn't he know those magazines were outlawed in Colorado?
Actually, they're not. They banned the sale of new ones after the date. The ones you already had were grandfathered. That's why Magul was running special deals to CO residents before they packed up and left the state.
How about charging him with Islamic Cult terrorism? This was a terrorist attack.
also, i suspect that this is the first (and only) time in Colorado history that anyone has been charged with an “illegal” magazine ...
Right. Rep. Vagina Regret will be disappointed to learn that those mags can be refilled once you fire the ammo out of them. Poor thing/s
As I remember, National Geographic was always pretty thick, if not large.
Motive: Islamic-grievances
There is no ban on large capacity magazines in Colorado, only the import of new ones.
It was an old National Geographic, now banned in all politically correct jurisdictions. Murder is the least of his problems.
Probably. Most Sheriffs won’t enforce it because there is no way to prove when they were purchased. I doubt he bought the with the rifle a few weeks before the shooting.
Maybe also charge him with excessive body oder?
