Richard Dawkins has been stripped of his 'Humanist of the Year' title after comparing transgender people to the American activist Rachel Dolezal - who posed as a black woman for more than ten years.
The American Humanist Association (AHA) revoked its honour from the evolutionary biologist, 80, after he appeared to question whether people could choose their gender.
The move comes 25 years after the evolutionary biologist, whose books include The God Delusion and The Selfish Gene, received the honour for his 'significant contributions' as a science communicator.

Transgender is only removed from trans-dragon by a matter of degree. In addition to hormone therapy, reconstruction, and prosthesis, the latter also involves a fuel supply and ignition source.
Gender is not a choice - it is a categorical imperative. Embedded in every cell of your body. No manner of surgical or hormonal manipulation shall EVER erase that record.
Everything else is just play-acting, fitting oneself to a role, but the biology remains unchanged.
As an evolutionary biologist, I would hope that he recognizes two — and only two — sexes. Male and Female. That’s what makes the world go round. This “57 gender” crap should be called out as crap. People with mental illness should be treated for mental illness.

What is funny is that Dawkins doesn’t deny that transgender can identify as the other sex...it’s that regardless of their belief they are NOT the other sex.
This is really a battle of philosophies. Is there a true external reality outside of ones self? Or is the only true reality a persons internalized belief?
Pretty soon a human who has “transitioned” from male to faux female will believe that the prostate gland in their body is a birth defect.
Sex is biological.
Gender, like race, is self-determinative, subjective.
He may not believe in Religion but a religion believed in him until his heresy.
His anolgy is dead on. Both are a form of dysphoria which is a mental illness.
Race is an intellectual construct, as well. This sophistry that “gender” is somehow unrelated to “sex” is a notion that has no bearing in reality.
Still only two kinds of sexual identification. The term “gender” has also come to include “neuter” when neither of the sets of reproductive organs are present, but the biological sex is STILL written in every cell of the body.
