Apple can KMA.
I’d be happy if they could bring back the Jobs-era reliability. I’ve got all sorts of chronic bad bugs in my iPhone 12 and iPad Air gen 3.
A tablet with the M1 chip is bonkers. I own the 3rdGEN iPad Pro with the A12x bionic chip and I have never once ever thought I needed something more powerful. It’s as fast today as it was the day I unwrapped it.

[snip] The Mac also faces fresh competition from Alphabet’s Chromebooks, which outpaced MacBooks in full-year shipments for the first time in 2020, according to IDC. The expansion of its services ecosystem could also encounter fierce resistance from streaming media giants like Spotify and Netflix. [/snip]

Hilarious... Chromebooks take market share from Wintel, not from Apple. OTOH, AppleTV doesn’t have competitive content vs other large subscription services, but even small growth in that area is better than no growth, perhaps a lot better, because it can potentially go on for quite a while.
AAPL down $2 after show and tell
The US Festival was a better idea. But Apple lost both its Steves.
Nothing about the new MacChicken sandwich?
I have one M1 Mac Minis and this thing rocks!!!
Super fast and you can’t make it heat up.
I had a really good year this year, so I traded up my 2012 i5 Mac mini that I had modified a bit (16 GB Ram, 2 TB SDD) and opted for the 2TB M1 Mac mini.
Both systems have 16TB of external storage, so I have more than enough for Time Machine, and archived movies, music, photos etc.
To say the M1 is fast, is truly an understatement. Unless software makes some HUGE advances, I really can’t see a need to update in the foreseeable future.
IMHO, get all the mass storage as your budget will allow, as this remains fixed; however you can add external SDD’s or cheap SDDs to archive whatever you want.
But, my personal suggestion is opt for the 16GB internal memory over the 8GB; as that will be the only bottleneck you cannot compensate for later on.
