Dad who wrote scathing letter to Brearley about race focus: ‘Someone had to’
A father fed up with an elite Manhattan prep school’s heavy-handed focus on race won’t re-enroll his daughter in the fall, accusing the school of trying to “brainwash” kids with woke philosophies rather than teaching them how to think on their own.
In a scathing 1,700-word letter Andrew Gutmann mailed to 650 families — a screed since gone viral — he blasted the posh, all-girls Brearley School’s “cowardly and appalling lack of leadership [for] appeasing an anti-intellectual, illiberal mob.”
The April 13 missive — published this week on journalist Bari Weiss’ blog — became public the same day the headmaster of the famed Dalton School resigned over controversial “anti-racism” curriculum and policies that had outraged many parents.

I would have written “I pledge to fight racism by never voting for or supporting anyone even remotely associated with the democratic party and refuse to attend “anti-racist” training which is in fact racist training run by democrats”

Still votes Dem? Not seeing that but I wouldn’t be surprised. Who’d spend that kind of money except for status in Manhattan? And who respects, admires, or envies him but Democrats?
If he’s serious he should move. Put the kid in Hillsdale, Grove City or voke in Podunk when the time comes.

Ms. Fried's rebuttal sounds like familiar liberalism.
Ms Fried’s response sounds familiar because it’s the standard claptrap the Left has been refining for years. Fried is regurgitating well rehearsed nostrums from a script prepared in anticipation of parental objections.
The enemies of independent thought are well aware there will be resistance to their racist programs, and they have a standardized process for isolating upstart irritations and turning the tables on the noncompliant.
CRT is the most racist idea since slavery. The bottom line is: “If you are black you are so inferior you must be treated like little children.” CRT is the slave masters organization. It’s always about control.
And White Liberals get to dictate to Minorities what they must think.
I’m just assuming. Most everyone, esp those in NYC, vote democRat
