She played the matriarch of a crime family on ”Peaky Blinders” and the scheming Voldemort ally Narcissa Malfoy in the “Harry Potter” movies.
McCrory also starred as a human rights lawyer dragged into international intrigue in the TV thriller “Fearless,” played lawyer Cherie Blair, wife of British Prime Minister Tony Blair, in the 2006 movie “The Queen,” and had roles in Martin Scorsese’s film “Hugo” and the James Bond thriller “Skyfall.”

It’s hard to see how Peaky Blinders can carry on without her
She’s been married to actor Damien Lewis (Band of Brothers) since 2007.
I gotta get around to watching that show. I got so many shows in my que it’s just hard to binge watch, working 2 jobs and stuff.
She had a very full career for only being 52. Some people are that way. They develop quickly, and with great radiance. They reach what appears to be full bloom rather early in life. Like Sunflowers.
I started to get into Peaky Blinders...bought the first 3 seasons...but other things distracted me. Like many British dramas what little I saw looked very, very good indeed.
WOW a great show that Peaky Blinders.
rip
I enjoyed ‘peaky blinders’
All write ups I’ve found simply mention ‘secret cancer’ battle.
RIP.
(She does look a bit frail/weak, in one of her last appearances. 😢)
She was great in Penny Dreadful.
Wonder why she didn’t go to the US for her cancer care...
I’m surprised at the age. God rest her soul, she wasn’t a youthful 52. Her character chain-smoked cigarillos. Not sure if that was a real-life habit.
Always think of Damian L as the jihadist on Homeland. Had no idea until now that he and Helen were married.
She is listed on IMDB as being in a mini-series called “To Appomattox,” but when I look at the listing for the mini-series itself, all the reviews say it is fake and was never made. Strange.
“Wonder why she didn’t go to the US for her cancer care...”
Been reading over the years about the British NHS and am not impressed.

I think the series will be fine. That character was fantastical, laced with PC and not of the period.
Their survival rates for cancer suck.
Husband played Captain Winters in Band of Brothers.
