Flying turtle crashes through windshield of moving car, strikes Florida woman in head
(snip)A woman was riding in a car with her daughter on Florida’s Interstate 95 Wednesday morning when a turtle crashed through the windshield and struck her in the forehead, authorities said.
The 71-year-old passenger was taken to the hospital but was expected to be OK, according to police. The reptile also survived and was brought back to the woods with just a few scratches on its shell, police in the Volusia County city of Port Orange told local media.
In this week’s incident, the victim suffered a large cut above one of her eyes but did not lose consciousness, according to The Daytona Beach News-Journal.
“I swear to God this lady has the worst luck of anything,” her daughter said during the call with dispatchers.
