But almost 20 years later, Rick Astley has made a comeback on TikTok - and is already seeing success with the younger generation.
Speaking on Channel Nine's Today on Friday, the 55-year-old said it was 'kind of nuts' to think that his iconic track, Never Gonna Give You Up, was still a big hit.

In preparation for a meeting, I placed a link to that video in one of the preparation document links. Two coworkers under 30 told me I made a mistake. Another in his mid 40s got a kick out of it. It was fun to explain Rick Rolling to the younger folks, but they still only politely laughed.
