I noticed that American Thinker and other sites now use MeWe for their comments forum instead of directly on their website. Anyone have experience with this? Is it just another FascistBook? I want to sign up with my eyes open.
It’s mostly good for recipes and pictures of wW2 airplanes
The point I’m trying to get at is whether they censor conservative content and election fraud discussions.
It’s a good site. Mostly humor, imho.
I use it; it works OK for social media.
A craptastic excuse for a social media platform, lacking features even Friendster and MySpace had.
No, they don’t censor election fraud discussions.
It’s not bad... I’m on it. It’s a tad tough to find people though unless you know their exact usernames... Unlike FB where you can search their actual names...
MeWe is an American social media and social networking service owned by Sgrouples, a company based in Culver City, California. MeWe's light approach to content moderation has made it popular among American conservatives, conspiracy theorists, and anti-vaxxers.[1][2][3] Due to concerns with possible pro-China censorship of Facebook, the site also gained popularity in Hong Kong in November 2020.
Sounds good to me.
Well, since I’ve dumped FB, for the very cursor use I got out of it, I wanted something to use that was conservative-friendly. Thanks for the info.
I don’t know that they censor anything. Certainly not spam. You choose groups that you want to follow. I don’t follow any political groups. They were all Trump-related. I have Twitter for political stuff.
I’ve always called it FaceAcheBook but FascistBook works too
It’s Facebook circa 2008, but a viable alternative. I’ve set up mirror groups there to prepare for the day when Zuckerberg finally purges my old existing ones from his platform. I’m currently in Facebook Jail but the system’s Goon Squad won’t tell me what I actually posted that “violated” it’s “community standards.” FB has become an absurd, obnoxious joke.
Really, FR is the best source for conservative content, along with the rougher-edged Patriots.win. For actual social media non-political content I keep LinkedIn, which has a big reach and typically Leftist leadership but doesn't seem as forcibly Leftist in content as Facebook and Twitter are.
Not WeWe. MeWe. It is a strange name. So are Twitter and Google. Where do they come up with that stuff?
FR is the only site I comment at anymore. I’ve closed or abandoned all of my other accounts, some dating back to the early 2000s.
I tried to use it but it’s too painful - sorely lacking functionality and content. I’ll wait for Trump to release something to use -
I used to visit there but as a conservative if I dared to open my mouth I’d get gang bang jumped and harassed to no end. I finally just quit going there as all the harassment and cursing and name calling just wasn’t worth it in the end.
Linkedin is fakebook with a resume, IMHO.
Another billionaire owner playing games with the election process and influencing people.
