Barbara Wawa week.
Wawa was terrible in the 80s.
Like 7-11 was a step up.
Wawa is a native American word for Quiktrip.
A friend of mine really likes this show.
I looked at a few episodes. I didn’t care for it.
Seems like everybody is obviously reciting “dialog”, everybody is YELLING their lines, and each character is obnoxious in their own way. I don’t recall YELLING at home during the 1980’s. Not like that. No thank you.
Different strokes for different folks, as they say.
Of course we drank the milk every day at school. Even visited the bottling plant. WaWa means wild goose. The original store is located in Folsom PA Swarthmore and MacDade blvd.
I used to love The Goldbergs, but once the narrator of the show, Patton Oswalt, began spouting off about President Trump and his supporters, I shut it off.
Always liked Wa Wa. Lived near one of their plants on Route 1 (near Pulsations, I wonder if anyone remembers that).
They had the most terrific ice-cream sandwich, made from a locally-made brownies with locally-made vanilla ice cream in between. They were kind of expensive (maybe cost $1.29 back then) but they were so good. Sorry I can’t remember the name of either the brownies or the ice cream. One of the nice things I remember about my time in SE PA.
I’ve heard of Wawa, but I’ve never seen one.
Not a fan of the Goldbergs but Wendi McLendon-Covey, the actress who plays the mother in that show, was hysterical in Reno 911! years ago on Comedy Central.
I live two miles from Jenkintown. I’ve never heard of The Goldbergs.
Wawa made reasonable hoagies in the 80’s, plenty of meat, decent price, but now they suck — expensive garbage. They make their money on cigarettes and lottery tickets.
Wawa is the store we love. Wawa has ethanol free gas and their hoagies are great. Whenever I stop for coffee on the road, I look for the Goose (Wawa is Delaware for Goose).
Two Wawa’s in our little south Jersey town - their soups are good, some of their coffees are too - ready made hot dogs in buns are also not bad - they also have “snackpacks” with cheese, crackers and grapes that are good for nibbling any time- have Wawa soup or hotdog practically everyday for lunch......
