Prosecution or Defense, there’s ZERO chance I want an irritated Mom in the jury box. Just...NONE.

That’s not very Christian of the Court to refuse any accommodation. Wild Guess who keeps refusing her: Some single man who has never had kids and supports zero population growth.
Just to get even, she should report for Jury Duty - Topless!
That’ll teach’em.

Stop complaining. Bring the little one, all the little ones. They can play around you while you nod off. Defendent’s attorney will make your point for you.

The way I read the headline I thought someone was SUING an 8 month old.

In New Jersey, at least, being the fulltime caregiver for a minor child is a valid excuse from Jury Duty.

Buck up buttercup. Having a little carbon footprint doesn’t absolve you from your civic duty.

In a strange coincidence, every single time I’ve had surgery in the past 13 years (4 times), I’ve gotten a jury summons shortly before it. The surgery got me out of it. I have a surgery coming up next month. I’m wondering if I’ll get another jury summons soon.

" It feels like a bit of an automated ‘computer says no’"
Because that is what it is. The automation that was once our friend in that it helped out in various ways has now spread so vastly, and is pushed by everyone for every reason, has taken over our world.

What a messed up headline. How about, “to bring newborn to court”? I thought this was satire because it sounded as though the mother was going to sue her newborn.

“They need a policy down here. It seems to depend on who reads your email. It’s very hit and miss.” "They" don't need a policy. "They" need adult supervision.
