Adam Perkins, a social media star known for his videos on Vine, died on Sunday. He was 24 years old.
The social media influencer’s twin brother, Patrick, confirmed Adam's death with a post on Instagram Tuesday. No cause of death was given.
Adam was best known for his "Welcome to Chili’s" skit on the now-defunct video-sharing app Vine. The Metro reported, the clip had over 20 million loops or views in one year.
Before Vine shut down, Adam had over 290,000 followers.

An entertainer.
Young people today are abandoning traditional broadcast and cable media for social media and these are the people they are watching on YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, etc. They are as popular as rock stars and their "brand" is worth a lot of money.
Don't scoff either. I don't know about Perkins but many of these social media stars such as PewDiePie (the biggest of all of them) skew to the right.
A Social Media Star is about of the same importance as Life Coach IMO.
Oh no... the world has lost an “influencer”
My guess: suicide.
Never head of this person and only know what a brief search shows, but his fame appears to have stemmed from a haphazard video selfie that somehow got a lot of views.
My guess is that after he had a chance to look back on his life and tenuous claim to talent, he became very discouraged.
That’s tough. First, Marlin, now him.
Jim made it to 2019, even after wrestling all those boas.
From https://www.prweek.com/article/1712907/chilis-pays-tribute-vine-star-welcome-chilis-meme-creator-adam-perkins: “In a video that went viral in 2015, Perkins walks into a bathroom and says, ‘Hi, welcome to Chili’s.’ He had nearly 290,000 followers on the app, according to Newsweek.”
Yeah, I don’t get it, either.
oooh sh!t...
“Influencer”? What in the actual F is that? He looks more like your average millennial drip.
“No cause of death for somebody so young usually means drug related.”
Almost surely some form of stupidity.
I had no idea who he was. But I came across compilations of Vine videos a while back and they were very short clips made by anyone that were often hilarious or entertaining. Vine was an app that let people upload their short videos for anyone to watch.
I liked it because it was not the MSM entertainment propaganda machine making things but regular people putting up funny and absurd tiny clips.
It proved we do not need the MSM crap.
This is apparently his claim to fame. It’s three seconds.

Below is a compilation of Vine clips. Funny and absurd.

This is the 3 second video that made him famous:

It’s hard to believe such talent is no longer with us.
My 2 cents? Drugs or AIDS as likely candidates...
Touching ??
Not for me, reminds me of Adam Lanza
Would never have made it in the real world.
One F’d up unit from what Y’all have posted
That’s 3 seconds of my life I’ll never get back.
“It’s hard to believe such talent is no longer with us.”
What’s weird is it’s better than 99% of “entertainment” that comes out of Hollywood and associated big media.
More profound also.
I’d rather watch absurdist Vine clips by regular people than just about any sitcom being made today for millions of dollars by the MSM propaganda machine.
Vine shut down
And with it his fame
