It’s simple.. Make drastic changes to public education. Pull your kids out, and feeding the myth that our education system has your child’s best interest at heart. It does not and will not. Tighten your belt and either enroll in. Quality online school, local private school, hire tutors, share a private teacher with other families, or home educate.

I believe that ‘lockdown’ - and the despicable way a lot of teachers and teachers’ unions have acted - have awakened many people to the fact that they don’t really need public schools anymore.
Public ‘education’ has done a good job of shooting itself in the foot.
Parents need to become active at the local level, especially school boards. To prevent Critical Race Theory from infecting their kids.

Easy for you to say, but not so easy for me. For starters, I’d have to give up my real big house that I can show off to my friends, and then I probably won’t be able to buy that boat this summer, not to mention the fact that my truck is nearly 4 years old and needs replacement.
So, sorry, mind your own business, I’m not going to change my lifestyle just because the schools suck - go find some other idiot to preach at.
1) many of those hateful teachers you speak of are also online teachers
2) it makes no difference to go to private or online school if the curriculum is the same as the communists schools. Control the paradigm or the lense by which students learn and view the world, you controls their knowledge.

Good ideas but it all depends on how far gone the current generation of parent with school-age kids is.
Anyone who has read The Naked Communist and its 45 communist goals for the USA would not have a hard time with that.

Any of those look familiar? They’re all over the place now.
- Get control of the schools. Use them as transmission belts for socialism and current communist propaganda. Soften the curriculum. Get control of teachers associations. Put the party line in textbooks.
- Gain control of all student newspapers.
- Use student riots to foment public protests against programs or organizations that are under communist attack.
- Infiltrate the press. Get control of book review assignments, editorial writing, policy-making positions.
- Gain control of key positions in radio, TV and motion pictures.
- Continue discrediting American culture by degrading all form of artistic expression. An American Communist cell was told to “eliminate all good sculpture from parks and buildings,” substituting shapeless, awkward and meaningless forms.
- Control art critics and directors of art museums. “Our plan is to promote ugliness; repulsive, meaningless art.”
- Eliminate all laws governing obscenity by calling them “censorship” and a violation of free speech and free press.
- Break down cultural standards of morality by promoting pornography and obscenity in books, magazines, motion pictures, radio and TV.
- Present homosexuality, degeneracy and promiscuity as “normal, natural and healthy.”
- Infiltrate the churches and replace revealed religion with “social” religion. Discredit the Bible and emphasize the need for intellectual maturity, which does not need a “religious crutch.”
- Eliminate prayer or any phase of religious expression in the schools on the grounds that it violates the principle of “separation of church and state”.
- Discredit the American Constitution by calling it inadequate, old fashioned, out of step with modern needs, a hindrance to cooperation between nations on a worldwide basis.
- Discredit the American founding fathers. Present them as selfish aristocrats who had no concern for the “common man.”
- Belittle all forms of American culture, and discourage the teaching of American history on the grounds that it was only a minor part of “the big picture.” …
- Support any socialist movement to give centralized control over any part of the culture — education, social agencies, welfare programs, mental health clinics, etc. […]
- Discredit and eventually dismantle the FBI.
- Infiltrate and gain control of more unions.
- Infiltrate and gain control of big business.
- Transfer some of the powers of arrest from the police to social agencies. Treat all behavioral problems as psychiatric disorders which no one but psychiatrists can understand or treat.
- Dominate the psychiatric profession and use mental health laws as a means of gaining coercive control over those who oppose communist goals.
- Discredit the family as an institution. Encourage promiscuity and easy divorce.
- Emphasize the need to raise children away from the negative influence of parents. Attribute prejudices, mental blocks and retarding of children to suppressive influence of parents.
- Create the impression that violence and insurrection are legitimate aspects of the American tradition; that students and special interest groups should rise up and make a “united force” to solve economic, political or social problems. …

People have to start attending the school board meetings. Please attend ESPECIALLY IF YOU HAVE NO KIDS IN THE SCHOOL.
If you are a tax payer, those people work for you. The schools are there so our society can continue to function. We’re not doing anybody a favor here.
I think parents get scared, and think (not without reason) that these stinking commies will retaliate against their children. So the “community” must hold these folks accountable. Quite frankly it IS about US, the community, moreso even than the parents.

The real push needs to get public education defunded.
And only those that actually have kids enrolled in public schools, taxed for it.
That needs to be the push. Public education has become bloated and highly politicized and is pushing propaganda and actually holding back educating certain students for fear of being too intelligent and successful.
The teachers want to stay home now and collect paychecks for nothing.
Its time to make the push to defund public education and only require those who want to use it and put their kids in this broken system, to pay for it.

I’m working with other parents to recall our school board—and what’s great about it is that I pulled BOTH my teens out of the district already (one to private and one to homeschooling) so I have no fear of retaliation against my kids. But the parents I’m working with on the recall seem pretty darn fearless! The slow reopening was just the final straw actually.

Thanks Alex. I’m convinced that people on our side still send their kids to public school for the following reasons:
1) It’s what’s always been done. Kid gets to to Age 4 or 5, you enroll him in public school, it’s what happened to them, and their parents, and their grandparents. No reason to question it. It’s what their neighbors do, their coworkers do, etc. Do anything else, and you’re labeled as a freak, if not abusive, for not letting your kid have a ‘normal’ childhood (trust me on this, I know first-hand).
2) It can’t be as bad as they say it is*. And if it is ‘that bad’, I’ll march over there and fix it.
3) Whatever is done in the public schools, can be neutralized by the parents**
4) It’s ‘free’, give me other alternatives that don’t take money out of my pockets, and I’d consider them too. It’s a big day when daycare costs simply disappear, and so that money is immediately budgeted to other uses. Perhaps that’s not the smart thing to do?
I just try to wake them up, get them out of their stupor.
*Tony Snow, like many parents, but one who should have known better, enrolled his daughters in public school, but wound up taking them out, because it was so bad. He convinced me that it’s hopeless when he said something like “Sure, I heard Rush and others say how bad the schools are now, but I thought it was just for ratings. I guess not.”
**One of the Leftists leaders running our schools said something like: “Church gets them 3 hours a week, we get them 35 hours a week, we win.” Same is true for parents...how much time do they REALLY get with their kids? Maybe 10 hours, on a good week. And who says the parents will even know what they have to ‘neutralize’ - I certainly didn’t tell my parents everything I ‘learned’ and did when I went to public school.
Yes; perhaps they thought they had faith. But pre-communist Russia was filled with a lot of nihilism instead, which is disbelief.
