I called my office this morning and told my boss that I won't be coming in to work today because I was way too upset over multimillionaire ballplayer Aaron Hicks not playing a ballgame because he was all upset over a Cop mistakenly shooting a suspect who had a warrant for arrest on gun charge and was resisting arrest. Decades ago I recall the lament about baseball salaries that it’s not so much the price of excellence but the price of mediocrity that was so high.
