Probably should have plea bargained ... other guy got 6 years.
18 y/o in a Mustang GT with 460 HP racing on a public street.
Sentence like that, you’d think he mean-tweeted Xiden or something.

The 24 year old wide receiver who hired someone to shoot and kill his girlfriend while he drove the car got 18 years. Judge must have been envious he did get a Mustang.

Obviously, you didn’t do anything stupid when you were 18 years old. Right? I’m not suggesting that the kids shouldn’t be punished, with this sentence seems extreme. The one caveat is if Florida is very lenient on parole.
Yeah, but I only came close to killing myself.
Plus, since I was driving a 63 Volvo 544 I could barely hit squirrels.
Play stupid games that cost people their innocent lives, you win stupid prizes. So he is getting 12 years for each life, a mother and one baby.
If you want to race, and have that powerful of a car, then take it onto a track and do it there.
All the more reason to make kids buy their own car. Spoiled POS!
Poor kid. We all make mistakes. Driving a Mustang and accidentally hitting two people is not cool. They died? Wow. The kid will spend hours and hours thinking: what if I didn’t have the nice car? Will the family forgive me? Am I going to hell? Can I forgive myself? What’s there to do in jail?
there are people that have killed intentionally that see less time....
now take those two black girls who did a car jacking and while speeding off, threw the poor victim to his death....
Let me break all of this down for you. Back in the 80’s I was booking a scumbag who had been sentenced to 999 months for burglary and criminal homicide. What was I booking him for? Burglary. You think he was penitent, regretful, sheepish... He stood there and bragged. 999 months figures out to about 83 years, I was looking at this worthless scum in less that 2 yrs. It was then that I realized that a judge (yeah, I’m using lower case out of disrespect) can sentence anyone to anything. But once he does so, it is little more than a joke. The matter gets turned over to the “corrections” system. Let me tell you this about these scum in the “corrections system” they don’t give a rats ass about that judge or anything else. It’s all about money.
