If Civilization finds a way to make living in space profitable then it will be the Wild West all over again and freedom will have another chance to blossom. With automation we are close to that point. It all depends if the RATs don't manage to send us back to the dark ages first.

I'd like to see people living off world. It all but guarantees the continuation of Civilization because space is so hostile and unforgiving. You really have to know what you are doing to live out there.
