Curious if there are many FReeper beekeepers. If I get a decent response, I would like to start a weekly beekeeping Ping list.
In order to make this list successful, participation on everyone's part is vital.
I don’t bee keep but I garden and am interested in reading along.
Please add me to your ping list if you would.
18 months in jail?
What does that mean?
I would probably read it, just out of interest, but I have no knowledge or expertise to contribute. Like I do with the GGG ping list.
would love too, been bee keeping for 25 years
I saw that video too. Enjoyed it thoroughly! Yappy seems crazy in a good way.
If you have a beekeeping ping list, please enlist me!
Yes, please
Im a beekeeper...10 years or so had 5 hives, now zero due to hive beetles, moving, and absconding queen(s) when I took of queen excluders. SHould have used real honey instead of plastic slats.
Bummmer, bees arrived dead. First time ever for me. Must have gotten 50 packages over the years. Filled claim with provider (who for now will remain nameless.) New plastic shipping container, not a fan!
Kind of off on a tangent. I am not a bee keeper although I have many, many bees on my property. I like bees. To help them out, I am not joking, I have let dandelions take over several acres of my landscaping. They are nice and green, require no watering, don’t have to be mowed as often, very pretty when all flower at once. I don’t get stung walking through them.
That’s happened to me. I will drive hours to a supplier and check each package.
Better yet, catch a swarm or do a cutout.
I’m kind of new to bee keeping, I just started my first 3 hives for my orchard.
One thing I figured out real quick though was if you are in bear country make sure your hives are well protected!
YES; put me on your ping list.
I’m a beekeeper ... count me in. Sadly with Covid there has been no meetings at the local club.
I kept bees for 12 years, got out when the varroa mite got started.
“On”, please.
Join the list and learn!
(I think it means he put new/live colonies of bees into 65 hives).
Read a book called, “ The ABCs XYZs of beekeeping”.
Very informative.
