Yeah. It’s what’s going on with you when you’re NOT snoring that may be the silent issue. If you’re snoring continually, that’s one thing; you have to be breathing to snore. If you’re snoring intermittently...especially if it’s a “halting” pattern...
Get more detail from your wife. If there’s any doubt, run it to ground with a pulmonary specialist who can guide you further. I was diagnosed in my 40’s when I weighed less than 160lbs. I worked with a guy in his 30’s who got diagnosed because his age made his cardiologist suspect there was something more going on. By way of contrast, I spoke with a gentleman last weekend who’s a cardiac patient who’s confirmed he’s NOT also an apnea case; he’s got piece of mind knowing there’s nothing lurking behind his health situation.
Ultimately your call, obviously, but if there’s the least suspicion, I highly recommend looking into it.
