MINNEAPOLIS — Target will spend more than $2 billion at Black-owned businesses by 2025 as part of its effort to advance racial equity.
That’s a significant increase in overall spending on Black-owned businesses, according to Target, though it declined be more specific Wednesday.
The Minneapolis retailer will add a broad spectrum of products from more than 500 Black-owned businesses and will increase its spending at more Black-owned companies, in areas ranging from marketing to construction.

Target is moving out of its City Center offices in downtown Minneapolis one year after the coronavirus made its way around the globe and the company’s corporate workforce was forced to work remotely.
i avoid Target and have ever since their “men belong in the ladies bathroom” nonsense.

I think I have spent $20 at Target since they came out with letting men use the women’s restrooms and dressing rooms, and that was because someone gave me a $20 gift card.
Minority set-asides? Is that even legal? I know the US federal government does it with their contracting rules, but...
If a business touts the race of its owners, I don’t do business with them. Racists think everything is about race. I’m not a racist.
Why does Target think it has to patronize black-owned businesses? And don’t they realize that a lot of businesses touted as black-owned only have a black front man, but that the company is actually owned/run by ethnicities other than black? Like, white?
Target doesn't intend to spend one dime of their own money on this political maneuver and also intend to preclude Asians from this political move.
Good for the black businesses...take what the fools will give you. But Target still sucks.
Will that also include Back owned Funeral homes?
It occurred to me a little while ago that one of the stillest segregated businesses, it least here in the South, are funeral homes.
I rarely see a Black family choose a white funeral home to do a service, conversely you certainly never see a black owned funeral home doing a white service. None of it is really done.
Yet you don’t hear anything about racist funeral homes and services. If White Liberals actually walked the walk then they would be using black owned funeral homes for their services.

I had to go in to one of their disgusting liberal stores for an unplanned business meeting and needed a nicer shirt. Every poster with models was a fat black woman or gay looking androgynous black male. They have completely kicked out all traces of whitey models. well, I can’t see “people like me” then I guess they don’t want me shopping there. And this city is about 1% black, if that.
I didn’t pick one up to take a look. . .but voodoo is voodoo. Just like the “harmless???” ouji board. The poor kids know about everything these days except Jesus who died a horrific death just for all of us.
I pray to God to help me move the people who have me. Hate is easy and these evil souls embrace it. I need my prayers to help free me from the hate I want to feel while at the same time love these evil people. I, as a week mortal, need God’s help for that one.
