It’s not really ridiculous. I have a friend who had Covid and he has anxiety issues which he never had before. Also knowing how the disease manifest itself with a hypercoagulable state there could be issues going on with reduced cerebral blood flow thus causing issues with the mental state due to diminished blood flow...so it’s not ridiculous but a great likelihood

Um, no. Clots in the brain cause strokes, not anxiety.

My brother-in-law, turned 69 in March, had a very severe case, in the hospital and then rehab for a total of 2 months from the end of November until mid-January. He was out of his mind in the beginning, had no idea where he was when he was in the hospital. He was very belligerent, kept ripping his IV’s out, unresponsive to doctors/nurses, wasn’t eating. He nearly died. Recently he told my sister he feels like he lost half of himself. His oxygen level was very low when he went to the ER initially and his blood sugar was 500+, insulin dependent diabetic.

I believe for those that had it so severe, there are lasting effects.

You now what might give people who had COVID anxiety issues later on? Seeing BS stories non-stop in the media about how people who survived COVID can have severe problems later on.
