Solution is to not bring it to the table unless requested.
Who eats at restaurants any more anyway? That is sooooo pre-apocalypse.
My Mom used to make homemade ketchup when I was a kid. It was horrid.
keep the ketchup right next to your toilet paper and ammo pile!
I have heard ketchup is loaded with high fructose corn syrup aka sugar and one reasons kids plaster it on everything may be they are hooked on sugar, hence fat and diabetic
I always LOVE when Euros ridicule Americans about ketchup like using it is so low brow. Then watching them use it on everything and I use it on fries and burgers solely.
It is very easy to make at home. Simple ingredients.
I must be sitting on a gold mine with the ketchup packets I have tucked away in my vehicle’s cubbyhole in front of the gearshift. I generally steer away from ketchup due to the sugar content and I buy the no-added-sugar formulation for the granddaughters to use when visiting.

It's like eating Miracle Whip instead of real mayonnaise.
Hot sauce is the only thing I put on my food.
Now I'm loaded up with sodium!
Can't win for losing anymore.
They (typical fast food places) throw a half dozen in with each order, and most are probably discarded. The short question “Extra condiments?” would save a lot of waste.
Maybe now the fast food franchise owners will stop their workers from dumping a dozen packets of ketchup into your drive-thru bag when you order one small fries.
