Starting today, April 5, The X-Files return to free TV, with three episodes running Mondays to Thursdays at 10 pm ET on Comet. The first six episodes will also air this Sunday, April 11, at 2 pm.
The mystery sci-fi classic chronicles the exploits of intrepid FBI special agents Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) on a never-ending odyssey to unearth the paranormal phenomena behind unsolved cases.
Are these new episodes or reruns?
HD version on Hulu.
It is a well done widescreen version. Except for the cars and hairdos, the series holds up pretty well.
I am on S3 E14 (watching it now). I did not watch the original run on TV.
Started on Comet OTA yesterday.
This will be new only to those who did not follow the original broadcasts. When it first aired the series was
one to be seen. During the final seasons it lost its luster and jumped the shark, went off the rails. Yes, even the reruns of earlier shows are still enticing today (JMHO).
The reruns are on multiple streaming services.
So they are re-runs?
Any word about a new season?
I remember reading that in the first episode Scully had a boyfriend that was quickly done away with - she also had freckles that were covered up and her clothing was changed a bit - I believe she was around 23 years old at the time and the writers knew it was (near) impossible for her to have become a medical doctor for the FBI when she was that young.
My son loves this series - wasn’t born during the first incarnation.

Since it has been about 20-years since I last watched them and since, according to my wife, I am getting forgetful as I roll on towards 88, at least I’ve forgotten the exact dialogues...

Am watching several programs on IMDB and the ads are very short...
This channel is available on the app you mentioned, but COMET is also available over the air via antenna in most media markets.
..I seem to remember those names from somewhere...
