The dirty little secret about, "Saturday Night Special," bans is that they target the poor living in high crime areas. Low cost revolvers like Iver Johnson, Rohm, etc. were at one time, the only firearms accessible to lower income, law abiding people living in bad areas that wanted to protect themselves. Yes, they were also used by the criminal element, just like cars, steak knives, crow bars baseball bats, etc.
Exactly right. I was happy knowing that most of the bodega owners had two; one in their pocket and one as a "dropsie" :)
