I have a hybrid bicycle for road and trail. On the right side (not seen in this picture of the left side) is a switch at the front wheel fork that unlocks the front shocks. I ride my bike on long stretches of bicycle lane and enter woods and parks along the way for trails. On the rode you don't want front shocks but on the trails you do. It's not easy< to see in the picture but there is a steep drop near the start and once you level it's fast going. If you hit the grass the bouncing is... alarming.
rode, road
rode the road
The tires are thicker than a road bike but thinner than a mountain bike.
I feel that it really works well for me but just don’t expect to be fast as a road bike.
You traded off!
If what you want also is good exercise than the harder pedaling is actually appreciated despite cost of speed.
I have actually reduced my blood pressure recently by 25 points (after not riding much during the winter because of snow and ice).
than. then
rather than than then.
