IMO, Gaetz is a pig. His own behavior invites the scrutiny.
Is he going to marry your daughter? No. Is he a Chinese spy? No. How many other swampers went to Wyoming to campaign against Lizard Cheney? Zero AFAIK. Only those conservatives who want to lose and live under Democrat rule care about things like this.
I agree. However GOP’ers must be as they say “..like Caesar’s wife ...” above reproach if they are to maintain any effectiveness. If they don’t understand that they are too stupid to be in office.
I am tired of supporting narcisstic low self-control politicians be they GOP or anything else. If any bit of this is true I would have little enthusiasm for him. If I was in his district my only reason for voting for him would be because the Rat would be much worse.
Keep this mind: Matt Gaetz has known he could be in some criminal peril since AT LEAST August of last year. That's when his friend was indicted on sex trafficking charges. The alleged criminal activity began as early as 2017.
If you know you're at the business and of federal investigation that has the potential to put you away for 25-years, you too might do whatever you can to build some measure of loyalty in your partisan base. It seems to be sage strategy on Gaetz' part.
If Republicans can't take out their own trash, we're no better than Democrats.
