ie, 2nd and 5th letter being the same!

I believe I’ve solved the puzzle except for the final (4-letter) word, which I think has an “I” as the 2nd letter and “T” as the last.

Post eight is the clue to the last word. When you put that with the author it makes sense. Otherwise the quote seems like something from a childrens workshop...oh wait...
