These studies are all very hopeful, but I am having difficulty determining the ongoing prophylaxis dosage and frequency. Is it 200 micrograms per kilogram daily, weekly, or monthly? The warnings about Ivermectin say that it works as an anti-viral but only at extremely high dosages. However, high dosages apparently cause organ damage. Is there an emerging consensus about what the ongoing preventative dose and frequency should be?
None of the published prophylaxis or treatment protocols use high doses
Treatment protocols for a normal adult are roughly one 12 mg dose on day 1 and another on day 3
The full Monty treatment adds 5 days of daily doxycycline and zinc
See a typical treatment pack used in most countries that practice early treatment. In other countries these ‘ dangerous’ drugs are sold over the counter
Prophylaxis continues a single ivermectin dose( about 12 mg, depending on body weight) every 2-3 weeks
Anecdotal reports about half or more medical workers are using this quietly
But undoubtedly someone is working on a study that will figure out how high a dose to use to cause side effects...and then that will be used as an excuse to deny and ban this drug
There is a full md doc black guy from Houston(?) on youtube who showed how to use it. Go look there. It is extremely straightforward.
I’m giving no medical advice. He is.
