I think the only person that could get GOP votes from the Senate is a current or respected former Senator. None of them seem to fit the bill in my opinion, bit then again I don’t respect any Democrat politician.
That’s a good point. Harris is better off serving as acting President under the 25th amendment for as long as Biden is alive. And then she can also break ties in the Senate as Vice President.

Actually, if they keep Biden in place while the confirmation takes place, Harris casts the tie break vote.
So let’s say they announce Biden is stepping down in 60 days. That gives them all the time they need to select and confirm Harris’ choice for VP.
