With Harris no longer VP, the votes will split 50/50 on confirmation and no one will be confirmed.


Only if the Republican Senators, all of them, decide they’d actually want to actually have a say in what happens to the U.S. Do you think all of them do? Frankly, I’m not optimistic.

Well, the real power play is when they agree to seat a red state senator as VP. I don’t think any Republican would do this, but if I was in charge, I’d tell them that was their only choice for getting a VP. Then you get 49/50, and hopefully 48/50 when the red state appoints a new Republican senator.

That’s the kind of cojones that Repubs need but will never have.
