I would be happy with just the “shut up” part.
Without a doubt that is shocking. It was on a par with Stalin's iron-handed rule of the Soviet Union. Our "leaders" acted in the most un-American ways imaginable.
Second, I remain surprised at the acceptance by the American people of draconian rules, restrictions, and unprecedented mandates, even those that are arbitrary, destructive, and wholly unscientific.
The only thing I can say to try to mitigate the utter cowardice displayed by the people is that nothing like this has ever been done in America and it blindsided everyone by its brazenness. But, as a justification, that's a pretty weak excuse.
Too many Americans bent over and said "skip the lube this sounds like fun!"

It is way past time that people simply call him what he is, a DC bureaucrat. He’s not an actual doctor who sees actual patients. He has been a bureaucrat sitting behind a desk for 20 years.
