A man went on an anti-Asian tirade after being asked to wear a mask while riding a bus in Florida earlier this month. The incident, which was partially caught on video, occurred on a Miami-Dade Transit bus on the evening of March 9.
Lai, who is Chinese American, asked the man and his companion, a white woman, to wear masks to help prevent the spread of COVID-19.(snip) Lai told the Miami New Times. “My dad is 76, and I can’t afford to bring COVID home.”
However, the pair of commuters still refused to cover their faces. This forced Lai to turn to the driver for help. It was at that point when the man reportedly began his racist tirade. He allegedly referred to Lai with slurs such as “gook” and “chink.”
Lai decided to film the incident. The man became visibly upset, walked toward the driver and asked to be dropped off at the next stop. Lai then told the man, “Maybe you don’t need to be racist to me.” “I don’t give a f*ck what you saying, man. I got daughters older than you,” the man replied. “Mind yo’ goddamn business, Chinese lady. Ugly-a** chink. Mind yo’ goddamn business, man.”
The verbal altercation went on as the man continued to hurl slurs. At one point, Lai had to insist that she was born in the U.S. As the man prepared to drop off, he gave Lai the middle finger. “Smile for the camera. Smile for this chink,” he said. “F*ck your culture.”
Lai has since reported the incident to Miami-Dade Transit and to the Miami-Dade State Attorney’s Office. A prosecutor reportedly told her that the man cannot be prosecuted for a hate crime as “no crime” was committed in the first place.

Or if she had called him a racial slur after he called her one. She would be branded the racist, and the usual suspects would try to learn her identity and cancel her life.

Appropriate behavior would have been for the feeling-infringed-upon party to move to another seat since the bus didn’t seem crowded and not a word need to be said to anyone. Instead she tattle-taled to the driver - which was intentional escallating. Understanding Chinese attitudes towards blacks also fills in some blanks and hints at her extra social credits back at grandma’s village for challenging a black and being seen to ‘win’.
Can someone give me a re-cap of when the “anti-Asian” thing started to get in the news? I know I saw stories posted here starting about a week ago, but it seems to have taken on a whole life of its own.
Is this a planted thing by liberals to make everyone hate everyone else, or to get Aisans to feel like they can join the “protected class” movement too, or what? I just don’t get it, and don’t know how or why it started to pop up in the news so much recently.

Like it was really necessary to point out that his companion was a white woman. Or maybe they were making a woke age commercial where every couple is mixed race.
I wouldn’t be surprised if that racist Black was showing evidence of a drug addled mind. He had a total lack of rational thought. It’s too bad such blotches on the social fabric are not held to account for their actions.
So you think she should ride a cab instead of the bus? Tell me, how many bus tickets would that cab ride pay for? You assume that she could afford paying for that cab ride.
She asked politely for the man to put on his mask which he wore around his neck. I have known for a long time that buses were big spreaders for the virus. The man could care less. There is no accountability for him. He could do what he wants. Then, there are people demented enough with the virus to purposely get on a bus to spread the virus as their joke on society. The Asian did not want to be a part of somebody’s joke or lack of accountability. She had enough accountability to consider her 75 year-old dad and anyone else she would infect because of another’s irresponsibility.
There are people who have to wear masks as a part of their job. I had to wear a mask and goggles to protect my eyes in hot attics, crawling over fiberglass insulation for 6 or more hours. A week during the summer months, the attics got up to 110 degrees and the mask seemed to suffocate me. However, those glass fibers off that insulation would have destroyed my lungs. If the virus was like glass insulation, I bet you would wear a mask. Well, the virus is worse than glass insulation. You just don't feel it until it's too late.

You don’t know anything about that woman other than what you read in the article and you let loose with that sort of ignorance? And “grandma’s village”? Have a glass of warm milk and hit the hay.
It is all of our business. During WWII Americans used their ration cards and stamps to take their meager share of household staples including meat, dairy, coffee, dried fruits, jams, jellies, lard, shortening, and oils. The least we can do is the two W's and a 6 in the World COVID War.
