No...but then there aren’t any land lines in the home so they can’t do a reverse lookup.

On the cellphone, if I don’t recognize the number, I don’t answer. My voice mail generally stays one message from being full but I don’t get voicemails left RE selling our house. We’re in a popular neighborhood too...only one house that shows “coming soon” but not yet active. Homes here tend to go in a day or two.

No, but they want to talk to me about my vehicles warranty very urgently. Block their number every time and they just change it.

Yes, the other night I got one just before supper on my cellphone, and then during the meal on my landline. (I recognized his voice from earlier). Second call I told him he’d already called on the other line and I hung up on him there.

The Californians are flooding in around here and paying ridiculous prices for houses trying to spend as much of their millions from overpriced homes there as they can. Bubble’s going to pop at some point.

Man, you should hear the stories that I hear when visiting legitimate Sellers! They tell me horror stories about other "investors" who are rude and bullying. They bring this up to us since my wife and I are a stark contrast to that crap and are there to try and help. Our motto is "People before Profits!". It pisses me off to hear about the numerous predators out there, just in Denver!

I made the mistake of telling one guy that I’d be willing to sell for a price that was roughly 3x what the house was worth. The response was “Really? Just a minute, let me talk to my supervisor”.

I didn’t answer your actual question. When’s the last time you saw anyone complying with the ‘Do Not Call’ list. Both my landline and cellphone are on it. I think folks buy the do not call lists to get live numbers for prospecting.

I got a snail mail offer to buy my hunting property. I found filed it, only to find out later it was a scam and if you responded they put a lein on your property with the signature you sent them.

I don’t currently use an iPhone but had mine set up that way at the time. Both Android and iPhone...generally in privacy setup...callers not in contact list can still leave messages (ignore the real short ones), or call twice in a row to get through if someone important.

I don’t buy the real estate course malarkey that pollutes the airwaves. If someone wants to get into real estate, they go to a reputable real estate training course and become a licensed realtor, heavy, gaudy makeup and all.

These get-rich-quick schemes only enrich the training course scammers. Think about it. If investing in real estate were so lucrative with little personal investment, then those running these courses would be making money doing THAT, not bilking thousands of dollars from unsuspecting suckers who then face a saturated market and a high chance of not only failure, but bankruptcy because of debt.

The training courses must rely on a steady, constant stream of new customers to survive. The will make whatever false promises are necessary to ensure that stream of income.

Ditto here. Not much reason for me to keep a landline. Get a dozen robocalls a day, some days three dozen.

The stupid landline companies are losing customers AND ARE STUPID cause THEY could be helping us block these calls. But the landline outfits DON’T CARE. They deserve to lose every customer.

My daughter lives in a neighborhood that is in “transition” She gets calls from Block Buster Real Estate Sharks trying to scare the old neighbors into giving away their houses before the “new” neighbors take over.

It is illegal, but the sharks are getting away with it.

Then there needs to be a massive class action lawsuit against these scam callers. I’m personally going to start a log of the phone numbers which call and see if I can trace them to some call center or central organization.

I’m not a litigious person, but push me too far....
