There are many constructive ways of dealing with distasteful events from the past. Cancelling them is not one of them.
Cancel Culture has progressed into the normalized reaction towards differences of opinion on so many different topics --from choice of clothing, movies from our past, to historical artifacts! We all know today that inequality should not be accepted, but can we erase the history that brought us here? Can we forget the hurdles that homosexuals, African Americans even white women have faced in years prior to bringing us to where we are today? I think not!
While movements such as the #metoo hold a high level of righteousness, respect, and equality among many other discussions to be had, the overall reaction can leave either party involved feeling powerless, attacked, and more often than not ‘ganged on’ without the opportunity for explanation. The amplification of current publicized discussions leads to a mentality of the right to create collective actions and reactions, mirroring the coterie behavior of a specific group.
On another note, the overuse of these attacks creates a widely spread feeling of anger and disapproval towards something or someone, and lest we not forget that this form of present-day exclusion is not as harmless as it sounds. It has been seen by many as a form of a cartel, herd mentality persecution, and it is no wonder this gang mentality of Cancel Culture has become a prominent part of recent news.

At least the left is not calling it “struggle sessions” again.
Cancel culture is starting to look like gang mentality
Political Correctness is starting to look like gang mentality
Progressivismis starting to look like gang mentality
Let’s face it: The Left is a thugocracy. Always has been.
“starting”?
“starting”? <-——no kidding...
Starting to?
Where have they been?
One of the worst things about a gang/mob is that the individual members stop thinking on their own. Instead they surrender themselves to the mentality of the gang as a whole.
For example, you would NEVER see this:
Gang: “That man is a racist!”
Gang member: “He’s not a racist. Leave him alone.”
Starting, ... yeah, that's it, ... starting
Good way to look at it. The Democratic Party is a Gang, not much different from the ‘Bloods’, where the price of admission is absolute loyalty to the Party.
“Can we forget the hurdles that homosexuals, African Americans even white women have faced in years prior to bringing us to where we are today?”
Well Gary, are you referring to hurdles like “Affirmative Action”? Racial preferences? Quotas? Set asides? Powerful mentors (for some)? Greater-than-equal protection under the law?
And how far back in years prior do we have to go? How young do we have to be to not be blamed for bad things that were done to those groups in the 1950s and 1960s (or 1850s and 1860s)?
Hmmmmmmmm?????
bump
Ha! They could call themselves ‘Blackshirts’!
Baizuo trannies have twiggy necks.
Christian haters’ (AKA Democrats) aggressiveness is out of control.....and keeps escalating to dangerous levels.
The arrogant Dems seem to get off on bullying, and relegating those of us not a member of their “Club Lib” to powerlessness.
REALTY CHECK The U.S. Dept of Education, and many mental health professionals, define bullying as verbal aggression,
repeated over a period, involving using an imbalance of power, and calculated acts to exclude people (cancel culture).
The bully repeatedly uses status to exert power and to hurt bullying targets....includes use of harassment,
rumor mongering, threatening anyone who supports their targets....and other forms of intimidation.
While state laws have little consistency in their definition of bullying, we would do well to change laws
to make Democrat bullying......and other manifestations like cancel culture .......a punishable crime.
“starting”?
Inequality is more often self induced rather than forced upon you sniveling isn’t the answer nor is demanding pity everyone is not created equally mentally or in strength one must deal with what you have and what you are.
A hand out isn’t so much of helping as giving a hand up is life isn’t always fair it’s a war one must win.
If your 5’3’’ you will never be an Ali learn to deal with life you will be happier.
