My mother seriously believed Froot Loops had real fruit and encouraged us to eat it. A few years ago I mentioned this to my mom while visiting with my wife and kids. I said, “Mom, fruit is spelled “Froot” for a reason”.
Cereal ads used to say...”part of this nutritious breakfast”. and show eggs, toast, orange juice and a bowl of Cap’n Crunch. I guess technically, it was.

LOL, my Mom would buy “healthy” cereal, but them my sister and I would put so much sugar on it the sugar wouldn’t even dissolve anymore, making a sugar sludge on the bottom of the bowl. So much for “healthy”.
