Left-leaning news outlets the New York Times and Washington Post, have been accused of being “Democratic Party broadsheets” by Judge Laurence Silberman. Washington, DC, federal appellate judge Laurence Silberman said both newspapers were mouthpieces for “rather shocking” bias against the Republican Party, in an opinion on Friday.

So what?
Judge up for reelection in a conservative district?
There is no bias in the media.
The media are ad agencies for the left.
Bias is their business model.
Marketing is 100% biased toward the client.
The judge is a moron; bought the false pretense.
Hmm, funny he waits till reelection time to come out with the obvious. Kinda like Lindsay Graham not doing anything really co servitude all through his term, then co ming out and talking, tough right before reelection time. Typical fair weather politicians
Federal judges aren’t elected.
I could be wrong but I think federal judges are lifetime appointments.
The judge is right, but there ain’t much he can do about it except maybe draw the lucky straw so a few libel cases land on his desk.
I suppose he thinks the sun sets in the West too?
what’s the over/under on how long it takes Democrats to bring up impeachment charges against this judge....
It will start with the MSM publishing stories about a rogue judge that needs to be removed, then the human troll Jerry Nadler will file charges and there it goes...
Federal circuit court judges are appointed for life, not elected.
Ah ok, didn’t catch that. The fella above my post asked if he was up for reelection, I didn’t register that he was federal judge for some reason even though it said so. Doh. Me brain tired it is
“Left-leaning”-I stopped right there.
“Federal Judge Accuses NYT, WaPo of ‘Shocking’ Bias Against Republicans”
Color me surprised.
Duh!
Federal judges are not elected; they are appointed for life. Judges are not permitted to make public comments on cases that are in court for decision. If the judge violates this rule, it could be considered a violation of his judicial obligation to be fair and impartial. The only time a judge can comment on a case is when the case is decided. At that point, the judge can agree with the decision or dissent. In either case, the judge can set out his views in an opinion, as Judge Silberman did here. On the merits, I agree with Judge Silberman and am impressed he was not afraid to make his views known.
Speaking of litigation, Facebook is running harmless-sounding but pro-censorship ads about ‘shouldn’t the internet have rules?’
Don’t need a federal judge to tell us that.

thanks- yeah- it didn’t register when i read the blurb and then saw the post i responded to that he was a federal judge-
Yes, being a federal judge, it is impressive that he made this statement- Wonder if the left will punish him for it though? Hope not
They advance the causes of their masters, who make fortunes by manipulating and administrating government policy.
They are the party of big government. The Republicans were the party of big government in 1860.
