An elderly Asian woman fought back against a man who randomly attacked her in San Francisco and sent him to hospital covered in blood on a gurney.
Xiao Zhen Xie, 76, told San Francisco's KPIX 5 that she was standing at a crossing on Market Street on Wednesday when a 39-year-old man punched her in the face.
Xie said she found a nearby stick to defend herself and started pummelling him.
While Xie suffered eye injuries, the unidentified man was taken away on a stretcher with his face covered in cuts.
Xie then tried to go for her attacker again as he was being wheeled to an ambulance, and had to be restrained by police.
She points the wooden plank towards him while yelling: 'You bum, why did you bully me?' and 'He hit me, he hit me!' in Cantonese.
The incident comes amid a surge in hate crimes targeting Asian Americans and Asians living in the United States.

My point is, this is, in my opinion, part of a concerted effort in which the media is completely complicit.
My impression of this is buttressed by this recent poll taken of people who voted for Donald Trump or people who voted for Joe Biden. Here are the results, the top twelve things people in each category are worried about:
Republican Leaning Voters:
Democrat Leaning Voters:
I was struck by this, because looking at the Republican Leaning Voters, I could look at that list and agree with the list and the ordering of it to a good degree. Those are things that should concern Americans.
But I found the list of the Democrat Leaning Voters top fears to be alarming. It is alarming because of their top 12 fears, there is ONE item, and one item only that is...actually REAL to any degree and worthy of discussion at #5: Americans Lacking Health Coverage. Not saying that would be at #5 in my list, but it is at least a real issue.
The rest of those are disturbing, as issues we should be fearful of, because they are contrived and fostered by the Left. Bill Whittle had a great analysis on this: What Do You Fear? Survey Shows Top Terrors for Democrats and Republicans
That said, it is in that light that I look at this particular assault and that it is a story in this light of a wave of violence against Asians.
If one goes to the FBI Uniform Crime Reporting Site you can look at the victims by race of all kinds of crime, and looking at all violent crime (it reflects the same way if you break it down by any other category like Homicide, Rape, Aggravated Assault, etc.) you can see...sure. Violence against Asians is going up.
But it is going up for EVERY race. Asians rank consistently at #4 or #5. And it isn't going up faster for them.
Thing is, my saying that the majority of violent crime against Asians is committed by blacks is not racist, it is fact. An unfortunate fact to be sure.
“They need to be able to protect themselves.”
Protecting themselves and continuing the “protective action” after the need for protection disappears, are really two different things. If the woman had fended off her attacker, and then backed off, it would never had made the news as it wasn’t sensational enough. It’s a shock jock piece, not really news. In large cities like the bay area, this happens a lot more than is advertised. Media sensationalism. To me, it lowers the approval of the action by the presentation. Too bad, it could have been better handled by the “press.”
I, also, got a smile from the one poster that mentioned how market street was a good local. It’s actually one of the cankers of the city with more than 10 strip joints on it in the downtown area. It’s even advertised in yelp:
https://www.yelp.com/search?cflt=stripclubs&find_loc=Powell+Station%2C+San+Francisco%2C+CA+94102
It was that way when I was playing football for a junior college in the early 70’s and we celebrated a win there. Not the fashion district, trust me.

She beat you long time. A No. 1 boom boom.
I’ll bet an hour later she want to beat him again.
