Actually, I have heard that Covid can infect both dogs and cats.

It was odd. Back in February 2020, my wife and I both got a sore throat and headache, and at the same time, both of our cats got some respiratory thing which I have NEVER had a cat, never mind two, get this thing where they were wheezing and such...

And I NEVER get these kinds of symptoms (not been susceptible to colds or flus my whole life)

We both wondered if we had contracted COVID early on and never knew it.

When we were on a Carnival cruise last year at February end, covid was barely in the news. But after getting off the ship, I had this strange dry cough but I just ignored it. It went away after 12-15 days on it’s own. Looking back, I have to believe it was covid infection which my body fought off. Because I can’t ever recall a frequent dry cough before.
