Just read crawler on NewsMax, Dan Bonging to take over time slot for Rush.

All I know so far

Well I do everything without cable, box's etc. most post their shows within ours of airing on youtube...which I like because I can fast forward and eliminate that I'm not interested in.

Candace is one of those fast-talkers so fashionable today. She talks so fast, even the closed-captions sensors throw in the towel.

I love her dearly, but to listen to her on a three-hour radio talk show would leave me riddled like a target at the local shooting range.

I have gotten to like Ken Mathews as well. He has a strong voice, is professional and intelligent, and keeps in tune with ongoing events of interest to me. I think that the Rush staff has done an outstanding job of cataloging past Rush shows and bringing up the relevant one for Mathews to address further. Just hope the Rush people have a separate line for callers who want to express their emotions at his passing and need somebody to listen to their hurt. Not a criticism at all but they do need special, and separate, attention.

One good thing about Dan Bongino is that he can mix it up. He is on top of everything that is happening on the political scene and speaks well extemporaneously. He was great at CPAC. And he just recently received a clean bill of health, and is so noticeably relieved, bless his soul. So all systems go, and I wish him the best.

Dan is no dummy. He’ll need to sharpen up the humor part of his presentation. He is very witty, but needs to add more fun into the mixture now, and become the part entertainer, part political commentator/analyst, a bit of show biz, and take it straight to the lefty socialist enemy’s jugular that Rush was so good at. With practice, I think he will do real well. He’s got potential, and I’m rooting for him wholeheartedly. I hope he gets picked up by other stations where we can easily get to him and not have to pay to listen.

That is what is irreplaceable. I can't listen to Hannity. Just talking points. Nothing new.

Agreed. Rush was a brilliant entertainer utilizing the Socratic method. Bongino is a self styled “libertarian-conservative”sledge hammer which is pretty one dimensional IMO.

I really like Dan. I respect Dan, and I feel terrible about his medical circumstances. But I don’t think Dan has 3 daily hours in him without what I like about him least, in that he will beat a topic not just to death, but far beyond death.

So far none of the guest hosts has mentioned bongino, as far as I know. For the past couple of days they just say that the current format is going to continue for some undetermined time.
