And syndicated for any other stations to pick up. Just like Rush's show was.
Granted, I doubt that all of the stations that carried Rush will carry Bongino, but that decision is out of the syndicator's hands, that's entirely the decision of each individual station.
I really enjoy Mark Steyn. His clever turns of phrases and metaphor (and simile) dialog are entertaining and informative.
Sometimes, and I mean this constructively, the metaphor gets in the way of the central message.
Bongino will be great, potentially my first choice. (I didn't hear them all.) That said, if Mark were selected, I would have been happily on board.
I don’t think Steyn is Americana enough. He doesn’t get things that most American men would like. He is good, but Bongino is an American man who has the Americana thing going that I personally like.
I like Steyn, but he doesn’t connect on sports, and other issues like Rush did.
I have listened to Bongino and he does. He connects well with the American Macho Man thing going as Rush did, but still has a humbleness about himself Like the Big Guy did.
Time will tell if he succeeds.
Annoying, yes, but some people need things repeated for them to grasp stuff. Consider he's talking to Rio Linda and they need repetition. lol
Give the dude a chance...or Sean might grab that slot.
We. do. not. want. that. !.
On the Westwood Network, not the Network Rush was on.
He is good, one of the best, but he is not THAT good...
And by that I mean good enough to take over for Rush.
I’m not in the family.
Whatever. I can’t listen to that crap, no matter who is talking.
Military style training. It drives my wife nuts.
As a civilian I do the same thing, repeat.
Nobody can miss what you want to say.
Not even Nextrush? (FReeloader)
I thought that “new rush” guy on FR was going to take over.
Hysterical...
one of the best
I was a 30+ year listener of Rush's show. IMHO, they should not try to find a replacement for Rush and end his show now, rather than have it slowly die off as stations sign up other shows for his time-slot
Bongino was already with Cumulus. It seems quite possible that Rush's empire will collapse, or at least be drastically shrunk, with networks like Cumulus breaking away with their own talent.
Unfortunately for EIB, there was no heir apparent to take over the golden EIB microphone, so radio networks are on their own to fill the vacuum left behind. I'm sure any contracts EIB had with networks are worthless without El Rushbo at the mic.
Trump has a tendency to be repetitive. It makes me crazy sometimes but I would never miss his talks.
Listening to more classical music now
He needs some direction and maybe Mr. Snerdly will still be on board to smooth out the rough edges.
The current collection of replacement have become tiresome.
Mark Steyn, I like, but he’s too high brow for most Rush listeners.
Bongino, will have about a 30 grace period to give it his best.
Tough act, very tough act to follow, but give him a chance.
Bongino is the best...and he always says it like it is. Plus, we don't have to worry if he's conservative enough or not.
Steyn's heavily-accented voice would be un-listenable for three straight hours......and he often goes off on obscure ( supposedly funny ? ) tangents that are almost impossible to follow.
No way Levin would give up his popular, safe, cushy, high-profile spot on Fox, especially at his age, in return for the tremendous time, energy and stamina he would need constantly preparing for a successful three hour, five days a week stint on the not-so-popular-any-more-radio media.
Best wishes to Dan on his new venture. I fervently hope he will still makes lots of appearances on Fox despite his new gig.

Bongino was already with Cumulus.
Yes, my only point is that the largest radio operation, Premier/iHeart, has twice the number of affiliates than Cumulus and as of now have made no future plans for Rush's time slot.
Although I agree with Bongino most issues, he is not an original thinker (somewhat like Sean Hannity). They’re both lightweights. Rush always brought something new to the table, facts and insights that others then emulated. Mark Levin does so also but his style is more angry and I think Rush appealed with his humor and optimism.
Yes, I was agreeing with you, but also pointing out that if EIB doesn't have a plan, if they don't "do something", other networks and stations that previously payed Premier to air the program will have no choice but to move on, and there will be no great voice for conservatives.
