Rosie O’Donnell is having some trouble selling her $6 million Saddle River mansion.
The New Jersey property has been on the market for the past five years — and still can’t find a buyer, The Post can report.
O’Donnell, 58, who is currently filming the new season of Showtime’s "The L Word," first bought the home in 2013 for $6.3 million.
According to New Jersey property records, she decided to list the home two years later, in July 2015 for nearly $7 million. But with no offers, the former co-host of "The View" relisted the home at what would be an estimated $400,000 loss — that is, if she can sell it.

She’s also been spending her time during the COVID-19 pandemic stressing about leaving the house, modeling wacky quarantine hairdos for her 400,000 Instagram followers — and bingeing on Pop-Tarts.
"We had a lot of junk in the beginning when it was first happening and I was panicking," she recently told Page Six. "I told the person who works here get us some Pop-Tarts so he got us about 40 boxes … and it started to get really sad when I realized there were only about half the boxes left and I’m the only one in the house who eats them."

She can’t get rid of the smell.
I grew up in that town. The taxes aren’t as high as you think.
They have a volunteer fire department, not very big police
department, and the public school only goes through the 5th grade, after which the students are sent to other districts.
Not that there are many public school students - most go to private schools.
As for that house, for $6 mil, there are many nicer houses in town.
For the record, the “normal” house I grew up in is long gone, replaced by one of these mansions.
I guess I shoulda read the thread first....

It will cost that much to fumigate the place.
Get rid of all the exterior stonework, then hire a good Exorcist. Or....Bail The Shaman out of jail and have him burn a bowl of sage on the back porch.
Dang, if I had put just a bit more thought into this beforehand, I coulda predicted that.
Since I don’t have the capital to invest, I kinda don’t care any more.
Totally an inside plumber’s joke , but funny.
Which one is the house?
Well evidently it is not a 6 million dollar home
That’s the smell of wet carpet.
“They just become these horrible, rude women with an axe to grind.”
The article was completely uninformative. Had I written it I would have looked into the general trends of high end real-estate in the area. I’d have compared it with other properties. Are other similar homes selling? If they are, is it for more money or less money? Has the state tax structure reduced property values? How much are the taxes?
A car club member lives near me in a very large home. His tax bill per month is higher than some of my previous mortgages. And, he pays it monthly. I did some quick math and decided he was crazy. The location is on a major, heavily traveled road. It’s a thirty mile commute to where he works. The house is not that attractive. If he had gone about four more miles further he would have been in a county with half the tax rate. The money he spends on the mortgage and the taxes is reducing the amount he’ll have when he retires. I will bet that he is putting nothing away for retirement. What a waste. Some people are just financial idiots.

She makes my skin crawl, and not in a good way.
California meets New Jersey meets Aspen meets Hollywood meets Craftsman equals a hot mess, like its owner.
The columns tend to make the appearance look fragile, like they are the only thing holding a mismatched extension together. And the ‘snake wall’ is more suited for Arizona and SoCal. It says, “I’m closed, sterile and rigid’, not exactly a message appropriate to ‘the garden state’.
Are you speaking of the house or her? LOL! The house is not bad looking.
That smell. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J4j7ggZqbiU
Sure... But what about the house?
Being a retired thirty year Realtor, with experience, odors have been one of the number one issues in homes not selling. I am betting Rosie’s house smells like three day old fish.
so is the house.
Butt ugly like the owner.
One can only in their nightmares, envision what she has done to the inside of that POS!
