The RNA idea has been floating around for a while. At least since the obama COVID, maybe even the 2003 or whenever it was. Some astute individual(s) developed the concept and all that was needed to make the vaccine was the genetic information of the virus. An astute President followed the science and funded a bunch of different vaccine ideas - none of which could have had a proven track record.

This is specifically about the AstraZeneca “vaccine”, which is neither the Moderna “vaccine” nor the Pfizer “vaccine”.
It's a weird bug for sure, and individual responses to it vary - a lot.
I was at a gathering in late Feb, after which at least 4 people tested positive. I came down with symptoms at the same time (4 days post gathering) but didn't get tested. I just stayed home and tended to my health with antivirals, rest, fluids, etc. My experience is of a mild but lengthy illness which is in many ways similar to a cold but with loss of sense of smell. The latter came on suddenly like flipping a switch. I'm at 15 days and largely recovered. Exertion or cold air will tend to make me cough and my sense of smell is still impaired. I'm relieved that I've gotten it over with and my immune system hammered it down just fine. I never had trouble breathing or absorbing oxygen. I had coughing but not anything severe.
I'm in an area with a lot of COVID, and many nursing and care home deaths. In my immediate circle I have one elderly woman who died of complications of COVID. One friend has long COVID and is still very weak after 2+ months. The woman who stood beside me when we both got infected is on her 3rd day in the hospital. Another friend was hospitalized with pneumonia last winter. It wasn't diagnosed as COVID, but I suspect that's because of testing limitations. I have another 8 friends and family members who were diagnosed or had very early cases that were likely COVID. Some were pretty sick but not to the point of hospitalization. Our son works in an ER and hasn't had a sick day despite working with COVID daily. I suspect he had an early asymptomatic case.
Our county was one of the first in PA to shut down. We're now in the 2nd year of shutdown, masking, distancing. It hasn't stopped the spread, and now the more contagious UK variant is showing up. People are lying and cheating to get the shots before their neighbors and then bragging about it on FB. It's a weird time to be alive.
I hear it called gene therapy a lot. People get confused when they hear that it's mRNA. I agree with you that it isn't gene therapy. It's a modified delivery technique using mRNA, but the intent isn't to permanently modify the person's genetic profile. That said, I am very cautious about an experimental biological, and having already weathered the illness, I'm not lining up to get jabbed.

For people with proper blood levels of vitamin D, good intake of vitamins A, Bcomplex, C and zinc and iodine, “getting it” means their immune system may deal with it so quickly that they don’t develop antibodies. That’s where we all want to be, naturally.
I've explained multiple times to that person and others exactly how the mRNA vaccines work and precisely why they are NOT gene therapy. Yet they continue to spread that fearmongering lie purposely. This isn't a case of a lack of understanding at this point. This is willfully bearing false witness.

If you had a case with significant symptoms, it probably isn't doing you any good to get a vaccine at this point. I don't know that I'd bother either if I'd had a serious case already as the levels of neutralizing antibodies should be similar to those produced by the vaccines anyway. Mild or asymptomatic cases don't appear to produce a significant immune response, so for those in that boat, it's probably worthwhile to get vaccinated just to be sure. Particularly knowing that the South Africa and Brazil variants are re-infecting significant numbers of people who had the April 2020 variant already.
But of course that decision is each individual's to make. That should always be a person decision based on each person's weighing of the pros and cons for their own individual health situation and appetite for risk.

Our main concern was if my husband got Covid it would go straight to his impaired lung
...therefore we took the vaccines!
We had no problem with the vaccines
It didn’t seem to hit our area hard until a few months ago,,( Central Florida)......and then friends and neighbors got hit with it

Quite a few cases of healthy young to middle aged people, women mostly, dropping dead a few days after vac shot #2. They could have most likely handled the virus without a problem. When I see the vaccine being pushed by Fauxi, Bill(depopulate) Gates, dems and the msm, cdc, WHO, I'm suspicious. Call me crazy. Biden said we "need to get the vaccine" three times in his recent speech. Call me paranoid.
We don't do the flu shot either. We got the flu a LOT when my wife started working at a nursing home and then it stopped. We haven't been sick a day in the past four years. Guess we are immune to all the strains now. We got the flu shot once 15 years ago and it made us sicker than the flu and for longer. We decided we preferred the flu. My wife has to wear a mask at work but other than that, we don't do masks. Most people here in MO don't and also don't social distance when conversing with people we know. According to Fauxi and the msm, we all should have gotten this deadly super contagion. Maybe we've had it and didn't notice.
Treadmill exercise benefit is great balance by keeping leg muscles strong. I would love to sign up for a ballet class LOL..
