Grape Pie in PA? I think not. In all my years, I never saw one. Never heard of one. Never had one. And I like pies, all kinds of pies. I can’t wait for June when I can have fresh strawberry pie or strawberry-rhubarb pie. As the season continues, there is blueberry pie, then blackberry and raspberry pies, and peach pies. Come autumn, we have apple, pumpkin, and squash pies. Of course it is fine to have many of the other fine pies year round, however I just especially like pies that are seasonal and that I can go out and get local fruits and berries. But grape pies? I think not.
Why no Quince pie? I like Quince jelly.

Shoe-fly was my fave as a child.
Pennsylvania, I would think is Shoofly pie. That’s a good pie.
I agree. Nobody eats grape pie in Pennsylvania. Just about every other kind of pie is popular as anyone who has visited Lancaster County knows. Shoofly pie is delicious.
