Although Governor Abbott said that he trusted people to do the right thing in helping to keep the spread of Covid-19 under control, when I see the number of people who continue to not take Covid-19 seriously, I know that his confidence is misplaced. The people who refuse to take Covid-19 seriously are rushing to behave in ways that guarantee a surge of disease.
I have started keeping a separate spreadsheet of Covid-19 cases in Texas. I have already been keeping such a spreadsheet for the US and the world.
Incubation time ranges from 2-14 days, with the average around 5-6 days.
Time to death ranges from 2-8 weeks, with the median of 2 weeks.
Therefore, I expect to see new case and death numbers rising after these delays.
Abbott and all of the other governors who have dropped restrictions acted too quickly. They should have waited until a majority (over 60%) of the population has been vaccinated.
There may be another surge of COVID here in Texas. But I don't think the masks will have much to do with it. We have had surges in Texas with everybody masked and staying home and with businesses all but shut down and about to go under. I do not believe we can hide from the disease.

In one year’s time of being exposed to this “highly contagious” virus, there are 29,807,439 cases out of a population of 330 million. That’s an 8.8% infection rate. Out of those, 540,684 have died** - a less than .02% fatality rate.

- deforming children for life (forcing mouth breathing hinders healthy development of the sinus cavity)
- forcing people to re-breathe germs that our bodies are designed to expel, concentrating and making them more dangerous, not less
- contaminating surfaces with MORE germs from people constantly touching and adjusting of masks.
PLEASE, for the love of God, go back to your Democrats’ plantation, enjoy being told what to do and how to live, and SHUT THE HELL UP about forcing a 5% - 10% reduction in oxygen consumption for us serfs (formerly known as US citiens)!
You realize that whole process is meaningless because the commies have changed the definition of "cases". Prior to covid in the medical science community a case meant someone who exhibited symptoms. Covid tests that show positive but the person is not sick is NOT a case and never has been until now. This was done to inflate the numbers and scare people like you into believing in this fake pandemic. We know this is happening. We know the medical community has been highly incentivized into pumping covid numbers everywhere in order to increase their funding. We know death certificates indicating covid as the cause of death are being outright FAKED. We know the flu did not just disappear from the planet. You are believing a lie. Sometime down the road we are going to start seeing medical problems with people who have worn unsanitary and totally ineffective masks for hours every day. Common sense should tell you wearing a mask all day long is going to cause negative health issues at some point and more than likely this damage will be permanent.
