The Grateful Dead - when they were on, no band ever came close to them. There is a reason for the bumper sticker.

I’ve been to 12 shows since 89, and that one my uncle brought me to the show (I was underage). My oldest brother saw them first in 85 and beat me up when I took his Ride the Lightning album to play without his permission..
