Me too... in Houston. I waited in line for 8 hours to get tickets. They sold out on the first day.
When the Dead came to Syracuse it was like the circus came to town. About 4 days prior the Dead Heads would start showing up in their tie dyed t shirts and bell bottom jeans. They thought it was still the summer of love, Talkin about Jerry Man. They would be selling their beads and other crap. Some even still had old VW buses.
Hey dude, lets drop some acid and see the dead for the umteeth time. F&ckin Slackers
You wouldn't recognize the place now. Clinton shut down the base. And although we still get some military flights at the airport, it's mostly a business park now.
Lol
Saw Rainbow, but never saw them with Ronnie James Dio in the lineup. :-(
Hate the Dead with a passion...same goes for Phish.
Duran Duran
I was at that Dead show as well. Saw them 2 or 3 times after that. Last time in Bham about 6 months before Jerry died...not really a good show. You could tell Jerry was not feeling well.
Sorry, I didn’t mean Monterey but 68 was her best year, I always thought.
You’re correct. I went back and found an interview with the author of the book. She disavowed the book which was ghost written. Here’s a quote:
Caserta, who ran a clothing boutique when she met Joplin, also said that she did not believe Joplin was a lesbian.
“I never saw Janis as a gay girl. She was straight. She was wild. I’m gay, and lived a gay lifestyle even then,” she said.
Rainbow tribe before it meant queer
New new Minglewood Blues opened
Sugar magnolia closed
A grand show by historians perspective
We were right in front about 20 rows out
Man we creeped home the 150 miles to Jackson miss totally baked on Sid
Whew
Man ...people..us...were very stupid about proper dosage levels then
I did hear that. Thank God she has a wonderful partner to accompany her in her issues of old age.
Never saw him before. WOW! Thank you.
Buddy Holly and the Crickets.
Souza is alright but I prefer Cuervo.
My favorite AC/DC
