If you have kids, find a way to homeschool or find a good Christian school. We had sent our kids to Christian school until they were in 6th and 7th grades, and then the school closed. We decided to transfer them to public school. They have to learn to deal with the “world” eventually, right? Well, our oldest graduated with her Christian values intact, but our youngest absorbed the liberal teaching of the public school and has become a hard-core anti-Christian leftist. If we could do it all over again, we would homeschool.
You make my point. It’s a lie born in hell that children need to be well rounded with crap from the World.
We homeschooled our oldest through high school and our youngest to 10th grade when the wife took a job and we moved to the central coast of California. Public school ruined our youngest for his last two years of high school, but at nearly 21-years-old, he’s starting a return trip back.
If we could do it all over again, we’d finish homeschooling our youngest through high school.
I have many friends who have homeschooled. If I gave you the scorecard, it’s about 60/40 in favor of the kids remaining in Christ. I think people underestimate the Enemy. Kids can be homeschooled and go off to university and get infected with the lies. One of my friends is suffering terribly because two of her children have gone “woke,” to put it in the vernacular. As for Christ, well, it’s the social justice and emergent church stuff. In other words: apostate.
Similar story here-
Three kids. First two Christian School K-12. Not anti-Christian, but not walking in the faith either, and neither are any of their old classmates. One is hard-core leftist, one is leftist with libertarian leanings.
Last kid- homeschooled K-12, conservative all the way.
Wish I would have homeschooled the first two! It would have saved tens of thousands of dollars, too!
Yes, thankfully I was in Christian schools for my 1-12 experience. My sister, OTOH, rejected Christian schooling and wound up in government schools.
She is the disaster of my family.
