I'm confused?
It’s bogus.
It’s actually the veins and arteries on either side of the spine that act as radiators and provide a cooling effect by dispelling heat from the body.
It appears it’s the spine is what they are hanging out but that’s just because its the main thing you see.
I would have expected them to take a bunch of water in their beak sac and use that instead to be honest, but then again I sure didn’t design them and I think the one who did knows best.
