The cartoon French skunk Pepe Le Pew will not appear in the upcoming sequel to Space Jam following accusations that he 'perpetuates rape culture,' according to a new report.
Though Le Pew had a starring role in the original Warner Bros. film in 1996, he has been cut out of the theatrical sequel Space Jam: A New Legacy, set for release on July 16, according to Deadline.
Though a live-action scene featuring actress Greice Santo interacting with Le Pew was shot in 2019 for the sequel, it was left on the cutting room floor after new director Malcolm D. Lee took over, sources told the outlet.

I thought this was the bee from the headline. I just saw it’s the ukdailymail.
What this tells me is that a bunch of effeminate men and easily-triggered women grew up watching a cartoon skunk and thought it was a dog whistle for rape acceptance. The proliferation of pornography and the normalization of extreme sexuality has made things like cartoons suspect to ill intent. When you take the innocence out of everything, then anything can be a trigger. We truly do live in interesting times.
